Hey all you loyal readers out there (the CIH group, alex’s mom,
and Kelly (hey gurl!)) What’s up y’all. Thought I’d post something just
to catch everyone up on where I’ve been and what I’ve been up to and fulfill my
blog duties as one fourth of the CIH franchise.
I’ve been working hard every day making scenery for the Lake
George Opera Company, but don’t worry, I’ll always have time in my 10 hour a
day work schedule for my loyal fan (that’s you kelly). The opera company
I’m interning at is putting on three, count em, 3 operas simultaneously this
season: Pirates of Penzance, La Traviata, and Gianni Schicchi/Buoso’s Ghost.
I’ll update more about my summer endeavors as they unfold, but now on to
more pressing matters.
I seem to recall a certain blog post made on this very website
not so long ago endorsing and recommending a certain 4th Indiana Jones movie.
The poster of this blog entry, who shall remain nameless (his name rhymes
with shawn shmarlo) did not really be clear when he said the movie was
enjoyable if one kept an open mind. I did not realize that keeping an
open mind meant looking beyond a somewhat hazy plot foundation, piles of
references to the other indiana jones movies, unnecessary and unrealistic cgi
animals (which also included a very limited knowledge of the proportions and
behaviors of army ants), as well as steven spielberg’s somewhat outdated sense
of humor (see cgi gophers). Oh and how could I forget, Spielberg’s new
protege, up and coming and extremely over saturated actor Shia LeBeouf…ug.
I could go on but I think I’ve made my point.
Overall, it was very cheesy, but I was able to get involved a
couple of times and even let out a few chuckles. Although my perspective
and ability to get involved may have been a bit skewed by the man behind me who
never failed to thrust me back into the reality of the noisy, sticky theater
every time he hacked up whatever throat illness was ailing him in an effort
that sounded like a V8 engine underwater…
Anyway great checkin in with you all, here are some pictures of
me in action building scenery

oh, and we’ve all, (and by we, I mean those other parts of the “CIH Franchise”, as you put it) heard a plenty about the great Bentrovato sense of humor…
The movie was made for the fans and meant to be nostalgic.
and even Alex enjoyed it!

I did not enjoy Indiana Jones one bit, it was a terrible excuse of a movie.
